3. Embedding Equality

The third step of the Clwb PAWB Framework is focussed on embedding equality at your Club.

This step aims to ensure that you have effective policies and procedures in place to provide equal opportunities for everyone to be included in your Club.

Equality is ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity and is protected from being discriminated against. Equality is not about treating everyone in the same way, recognising that individuals' needs are sometimes best met in different ways.

Progress can only be achieved if everyone is on the journey together, it’s important that you bring all Club Members with you working together so EDI is embedded in the fabric of the Club and is living its values every day.

Advisory network

Equality Advisory Group

To help support the Equality Champion and to support the Club in its implementation and review of their EDI Action Plan or initiatives the Club could establish an Equality Advisory Group.

The group can include Club Members (Players, Coaches, Officials, parents etc) and other key stakeholders such as representatives of equality organisations who can meet throughout the year and work together to improve Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the Club.
